Lacrosse for Boys Gr 6-8SportsThe mission of this program is to foster, promote and perpetuate the game of lacrosse. There will be 18 practices and 5 in-house games on Saturdays. Helmets are provided, but participants are responsible for purchasing the rest of the protective gear which includes; shoulder pads (NOCSAE approved), elbow pad & gloves. Also a complete lacrosse stick (short, long pole, goalie - based on age/position), cleats/sneakers and mouth guard. Parks and Rec 12U Fastpitch Girls Softball - Grades 5 & 6SportsGirls must be age 11-12 as of 5/1/26 (current 5th and 6th graders).This league will focus on building the skills needed to play fastpitch softball. Players will pitch to batters in this league. The 12U girls will play on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Schedule is produced by Pequot Lakes Rec and will involve travel to nearby towns for games through June. July play will be in town, intramural play. We rely on parent coaches, to ensure a successful season for your players, please consider coaching. Register before May 1 to avoid a late fee of $10. Late registrants will be accepted on a space available basis only.Skills night will be held Thursday, May 14th from 6-7:30pm at Forestview Middle School softball fields. Parks and Rec Major League Baseball Ages 7-8SportsPlayers must be at least 7 years old before 1/1/26 to be eligible for this program and preferably have some previous baseball experience. This league uses a hard baseball and a pitching machine. These teams meet Tuesdays and Thursdays within the 5:30pm-8:30pm time frame (depending on schedule and number of teams). The parent meeting will be held June1st at 6:30pm at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. Shirts and schedules will be handed out at the meeting. Each practice/game will last approximately 1 hour. We rely on parent coaches. To ensure a successful season for your players, please consider coaching. Take advantage of our early bird registration and register BY May 15th to avoid a late fee of $10.00. Late registrants will be accepted on a space available basis.Winter/Spring 2026 -

Parks and Rec Youth AM or PM T-Ball Ages 4-6SportsPlayers must be 4-6 years old before 1/1/26 to be eligible for this program. A parent meeting will be held June 1st at 5:30pm at Forestview Middle School Cafetorium. It is VERY important to attend this meeting to get your team assignment, schedule and shirt. Assistants will emphasize throwing, catching and hitting from a tee with a soft baseball.. All players should bring their glove to every practice.
