Battle of the Books 2025 Grades 5-8

First offered in 2023, this successful program develops a love of reading by discussing deep themes, meeting authors, playing games, having fun with friends and winning prizes! Readers will be given and expected to read, four books which align with MN State Reading Standards and help kids THINK about their lives and the lives of others. Readers will meet four summer Tuesdays at BHS and end with a trivia "Battle" at Forestview on Wednesday, Sept 10th from 3-5:15pm. Delicious free meals will be provided at each event from 5-5:30pm. Readers will also receive a Battle t-shirt. Please sign up for one option. The four books include: Turn Left at the Cow (Bullard), The Collectors (West), True Colors (Cooper), When Stars are Scattered (Jamieson & Mohamed).
